Frappe Cloud Revenue sharing program For Free and Open Source Apps

It would be difficult for users to self host the application. Frappe Cloud bridges the gap between the App developers and users. It provides hosting services where users can seemless install the apps available in marketplace. Frappe Cloud certainly gives visibility to the App developers and convenience to the users. App developers have an option to sell their app in the marketplace or they could offer it for free.
Frappe team believes in open source. Their core product Frappe, ERPNext are open source projects. Open source developers need some revenue so that they can sustain and build better open source projects. Github introduced Sponsors to generate revenue for open source developers. Similar way, Frappe Cloud introduces revenue sharing program for free and open source apps listed on their Frappe Cloud Marketplace. Frappe Cloud plans to share 25% of top-line hosting revenue with all app developers and the revenue will be distributed based on app complexity, dependency on other apps, and required marketing efforts etc.
App developers has to opt-in to participate and Frappe team will review and approve it. Revenue will be shared once in quarter and the amount will be displayed on their dashboard.
